Boone Hall Plantation: Mt Pleasant, SC
"We have been continuously growing and producing crops for over 320 years."
The Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens is an antebellum plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina near Charleston, South Carolina.
In 1743, the son of Major John Boone planted live oak trees, arranging them in two evenly spaced rows. This spectacular "Avenue of Oaks" is nearly one mile long and
forms the approach to his home symbolizing southern heritage that will take root in your memory for many years to come. Boone Hall is one of the handsomest and most historic plantations in the South.
Boone Hall is also one of America's oldest working, living plantations. We have been continuously growing and producing crops for over 320 years. Once known for cotton and pecans, we are still actively producing peaches, strawberries, tomatoes and pumpkins, as well as many other fruits and vegetables for our visitors to enjoy. The U-Pick fields are open in season. Our main modern market on Hwy. 17 is now open for business.
